Step by step guide to install Golive.

Before you start

To install Golive Server/Data Center, ensure that you have:

To install Golive on Jira Cloud:

Install from Jira Plugin Manager (UPM)

  1. Log into your Jira instance as an admin

  2. Click the top-right admin cog and choose Manage apps (or Add-ons) The Manage apps screen loads.

  3. Click Find new apps from the left-hand side of the page.

  4. Locate Golive | Environment Management Hub via search The appropriate app version appears in the search results.

  5. Click Try free to begin a new trial or Buy now to purchase a license for Golive You're prompted to log into MyAtlassian. Golive begins to download.

  6. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian

  7. Click Apply license If you're using an older version of the Universal Plugin Manager, you can copy and paste the license into your Jira instance.

Manual upload from the Marketplace

If your Jira instance does not have access to Internet or to the Atlassian Marketplace (corporate firewall), you have to download the app manually from the Golive Marketplace Listing and upload it manually:

  1. Download the right version (ex: 7.3.3-JIRA8 for Jira 8 or 7.3.3-JIRA7 for Jira 7) from the Golive Marketplace Listing Version History

  2. From the top navigation bar in your application, choose > Manage apps (or Add-ons).

  3. Click the Upload app (or Upload add-on) link at the top right side of the page.

    The following dialog appears.

  1. Enter the location of the JAR or OBR file to upload using the file chooser or by specifying a network location by entering a URL.

  2. Click Upload. A confirmation message appears when the app is successfully installed.

  3. If prompted, restart your application to have your change take effect.

You can now manage the app from the user-installed apps list on the Manage Apps page.

(Optional) Delegate Golive Setup to non Jira Administrators

As Jira Administrator, you can delegate the setup of Golive to non Jira Administrators:

  1. Select Apps > Golive in the Jira top menu

  2. Select Permissions in the View Settings menu

  1. Click on Add Role at the bottom of the Global Permissions list of roles

  2. Choose a name for your role, for instance “Golive Administrator”

  3. Add the Apwide Administrator permission in the Permissions picker

  4. Select Jira users or users groups that should be granted with that role

These users are now Apwide Administrators and are autonomous to setup Apwide Golive! They can follow the Quick setup
